Who We Are
LUMA Building Group is a family-owned agricultural and industrial construction contractor based in Centre Wellington, Ontario. We design and build post-frame barns, agricultural facilities, equine structures, industrial buildings and farm technology upgrades for farmers and businesses across Wellington County and the surrounding region.
We are the agricultural and industrial division of the LUMA family of companies — built on the same foundation of craftsmanship, project management and local knowledge that has made LUMA Build Design a trusted name in Centre Wellington residential and commercial construction for over 20 years.

The same team, the same standards, the same local roots — now building the agricultural and industrial structures Wellington County's farming community needs.
Our Story
LUMA has been building across Centre Wellington since 2004. Over two decades we've renovated heritage homes in Elora, built custom additions in Fergus, completed commercial projects for local businesses, and developed a deep understanding of construction across this region — its municipalities, its building officials, its trades, and its landscape.
Wellington County is one of Ontario's most productive agricultural regions. We watched it grow and change over those twenty years — dairy operations modernising with robotic milking, equine properties expanding, new farm buildings replacing structures that had stood for generations, industrial operations setting up in rural communities that needed quality local construction.
And we saw the gap. The contractors serving Wellington County's agricultural market were either large companies from outside the region treating it as an extension of their urban territory, or small operators without the project management capacity to handle larger builds. Neither was serving Wellington County farmers the way they deserved to be served.
LUMA Building Group was built to fill that gap. Same team, same standards, same local roots — purpose-built for the agricultural and industrial construction that Wellington County needs.

Honest Advice
We'll tell you if a project doesn't make sense. We'll tell you if you should repair rather than replace, or replace rather than repair. We have no financial incentive to recommend one path over another — we make our reputation by giving honest advice, not by maximizing project scope.

We manage every phase of every project — design, permits, construction, inspections. When something needs to be resolved, you call one number. There's no pointing at subcontractors or suppliers. We take full responsibility for the outcome.
